Distance from Port Augusta: 25 kms, 15½ miles Distance from Quorn: 15 kms, 9 miles
Unmanned location on the Port Augusta-Hawker Line - now known as the Pichi Richi Railway named after the pass where the railway crosses over the Flinders Rangers.
Loco watering facility, loop and a turning WYE.
The line from Port Augusta to Quorn was closed in 1956.
This location and the line from Woolshed Flat to Quorn was restored and reopened in 1979 by the Pichi Richi Railway Preservation Society. It is used as a terminus for some of their heritage trains running from Quorn. The WYE, a workshop and passenger facilities, such as a cafeteria and shop, were added by the Society for their hertiage services.
The line from Woolshed Flat to Port Augusta was restored and reopened by the Society in 2001.
