When launched under surveyor or under driver using the user rules icon in the main window tool bar at the top right, the first page that will be displayed is a list of all the available towers on your route

The Enhanced Interlocking Tower Manager Rule is a session rule that enables under surveyor to define and edit from a centralized point all the existing towers and paths on your route. But under surveyor, the rule is redundant with the integrated edition facility included in Interlocking Tower. It is not under surveyor that this rule is helpful, but more under driver mode that the rule integrated interlocking tower run time monitor may be very helpful to understand what are the current paths states and what mat be the current session problems with interlocking towers either standard ones or enhanced version.

First a short reminder on how in driver mode to launch the enhanced interlocking tower rule run time monitor facility. To launch the monitor window, you only need to click on the user rule icon ( the little book icon in the toolbar at the top right of the main window) and choose tower manager in the displayed menu items. When selecting the towers manager item, you should have a new window opened by the enhanced interlocking manager rule and displaying the list of all the available towers on the route

The view details link enables to display the tower details page that will list all the paths available for the tower selected.

The copy from link is a link to help users migrating paths between towers. When you click on the link, you will have to select a source tower and all the paths definition from this source tower will be copied to the current selected towers. By using this link and afterwards deleting in the towers the paths you no longer need, you can migrate paths from one tower to another one without the need to re enter all the path data definition.

The window displayed has a tabs toolbar on the second line displayed with two tabs : towers and trains. The current tower tab (you can see it is the current tab as the tab has some pink background) displays the list of the available towers and the other tab named trains will list all the trains with drivers currently on your route.

Following the header, in surveyor mode, you will have the usual list of all the tower paths with their names, entry signals, exit signals, priorities. To change priorities you can either edit the priority numbers or use the up arrow or down arrow to modify the order and priority of a path. The edit link enables to display a path detail page for the selected path and the delete link enables to remove the selected path.

First you cannot edit or delete paths neither create new paths in driver mode. So the corresponding links have been removed from the display. Some other links may not be available : for example the trc compatibility option can only be set in surveyor mode, and cannot be changed later in driver mode, so the option is still displayed but with no link to change it. There is still a link to display the path details page ('''show details'''). But more important, the display will now show and monitor the current path state, which train is currently owning an active path and if the owning train only owns the path or has already entered the path. For only enhanced tower, trains waiting path activation will also be displayed. When is path has a status of path not activable, by clicking on the show details you will have some information why the path is not activable inside the path details page.

Enhanced Interlocking Tower Manager Rule is a session rule that is released with the Enhanced Interlocking Tower package, that enables under surveyor to edit your towers and paths from a centralized interface, and under run time that enables to display a run time monitor to display current available information on your towers, paths and trains using or waiting for any path.

The rule is available on DLS under the KUID <kuid2:61392:8130:11>. The rule works with both standard interlocking towers and enhanced interlocking towers.

This first screen will list all the interlocking towers available on your route and the type of the interlocking tower : either standard or enhanced. The window displayed has a tabs toolbar on the second line displayed with two tabs : towers and trains. The current tower tab (you can see it is the current tab as the tab has some pink background) displays the list of the available towers and the other tab named trains will list all the trains with drivers currently on your route.

You can see on this example screen that there are now three pages available in the tabs toolbar : the towers page, the tower paths page (currently displayed as the tabs has a pink background) and the trains tab. Using these tables link it is very easy to switch from one page to another by clicking on the adequate tab.

The tower paths list page has a header to remind you the tower options used for the selected tower, and will list all the available paths in the tower with the path name, the entry signal, the exit signal and the current path status. The paths states can be path not set, path not activable, path activating, path active, path cancelling, path in panic mode. When a path is not set, the monitor checks if the path is currently activable or not and will display path not set for path that can be activated and path is not activable for path that cannot be activated due to some ressources conflicts. Using the show details link, you can display another details screen this time at the path level that will list resources in conflicts that makes the path not activable. Just below the path status, the monitor will display for active path the train owing the active path and if the train has already entered the path or not.
