Enhanced Interlocking Tower - Tip 001 - How to protect paths using crossings, slips, double slips
This tip on how to protect paths using crossings, slips, double slips has been given by courtesy of peterwhite (182010).
A tip on protecting diamond crossings and slips
I have found the easiest way to do this is to first identify and name all the crossings and name them by using 'C+Note xxxxx' by 'itareus' as shown below
I have 96 crossings, single and double slips on my route so I named them C01 to C96. Then whenever I generate a path that crosses a 'note' that name is added to the path
So when that path is assigned to a consist the first thing that IT does is look to see if another path with the same 'exclusive set membership' is set and if it is then it will not activate until the other one is completed. If your path crosses more than one 'note' then you simply add both names separated by a comma and IT will look at both or all of the groups before it tries to activate.
Very simple to use and works very well.
