The circle of influence is a dial or hot key adjustable setting that affects various Surveyor mode tools. The Radius and Intensity controls affect variously:

• Under [F1]  Topology tools, the action and effectiveness of the various terrain shaping tools
• Under Template:F2 Texturing tool, the intensity degree and radius with which the tool tip will paint a texture. By varying the intensity and radius, the graphical mesh of a base 10 metre board square can have blended or shaded texuring, enhancing the reality of landscape presentation in Trainz Driver and the Surveyor GUI modules.
