AWS System : Isolation Switch
This item is part of the equipment provided to simulate the working of the Advance Warning System (AWS) in British Rail locomotive cabs. See the AWS overview for overall functionality and usage.
This switch allows the driver to isolate (cut out) the entire AWS system. This is to be used when there is a fault with the AWS system that prevents operation of the train - e.g. to move a faulty train to the depot for maintenance. It is not intended to be used for normal operation.
